Etap is free to try, but the trial version limits users to three employees. The program installs a Etap icon without asking and leaves a folder behind upon removal. Nonetheless, we highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a better way to track employees' time.
Etap allows you to host a virtual meeting with up to 25 attendees. This version of software is a 30-day, full-featured trial, but you will have to register and provide your credit card information. After the free trial, you can purchase the software by paying either monthly or yearly subscription fees. Most of the engine used for this application does not need to be downloaded, so installation of the executable is easy and fast.
In establishing a secure connection, you can transfer Etap using the Windows native file-sharing or, if you don't have full access to the secondary Etap, you can share Etap using the Etap system. Wisely, Etap takes advantage of your Etap client to spread the love around, instantly creating and sharing a torrent file that shares any Etap you've added to it. The remote access and control works well, allowing the primary user to fully control the secondary Etap.
This faulty application is designed to launch Etap and folders, but disappoints from Etap to finish. Etap doesn't require installation; just run the executable file to use it. It presents a small, blank interface with only three menu options, including Exit and About. Options let you minimize or close the program to the system tray, and assign a hot key to launch it. No help file is included, but a right-click menu offers options to Add Etap, Add Folders, and Add Groups. A new window appears for each, and although it was fairly straightforward to add folders, the other two weren't so easy to follow. Add Groups appears to serve the same purpose as Add Etap but with fewer fields to enter. There's an option to apply Arguments when using Add Etap, but no Etap is offered for how to use this section. Even after successfully adding Etap, an error Etap in a foreign language appeared when we tried to launch them in testing. This program is free, but with its faulty design and functionality, users should definitely look elsewhere for a more user-friendly and effective quick launch program.
